In memory of Pg Zuaini Hj Md Alli
Today, I was deeply saddened to hear that one of my brides from a recent wedding had recently lost her brother in an auto accident before Raya. I had met him in Tutong whilst covering Indah and Shahrain's wedding. From the first day, though quiet and reserved, he was very helpful in assisting me whilst doing my job there. During the Nikah, i remembered him because he was the one holding a video camera and I had initially thought he was the hired videographer. We had spent some time discussing about the necessary lighting for the event. Later on, I found out that he was Indah's brother. From what I observed that night, they were very close and I specifically remembered the moments just after the Berziarah masuk penggangunan where moments were captured during his turn.
During the course of the events, he was always around either ushering guests or taking pictures. During the Bersanding at the Rizqun, he specifically asked me to take a photo of him and them because he was busy running around and was afraid he would not be included in the pictures. Looking back, it seemed that then he had some feeling of things to come.
My sincerest condolences to Indah and her family for their loss. Al-Fatihah. I am glad I had the opportunity to capture pictures of him during the course of the wedding. It is at times like this that I fully appreciate my work as a photographer and that my job isnt just about the making pretty pictures but to capture people in a moment of time for all eternity. This post and the following pictures are dedicated to him.
